A 36-year-old woman is facing several charges following a shooting that occurred on Thursday in Prince Albert. 

Just before 2:00 p.m., police were called to the 900 Block of 17th Street West. They were told that a woman attempted to rob a man at gunpoint. He also admitted to shooting the firearm at her. He was arrested and a loaded firearm was seized from him. The woman in question was located with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon and arrested upon her release. 

Through further investigation, officers learned that the woman entered the man’s home and attempted to rob him at gunpoint. A struggle ensued, and the man gained control of the gun, shooting it at the woman.
