Over the weekend, the Saskatoon Police Service made a second arrest in the city’s third homicide of 2025.
A 26-year-old-man whom police had been looking for in connection to the case was arrested Saturday and charged with First Degree Murder. A 27-year old man was arrested soon after the May 17th homicide and also charged with First Degree Murder.
On that Saturday, at 5:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound at a motel in the 2000 block of Avenue B North. Inside a 20 year old man was located and transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Matthew Brabant.
