A new six-part TV series called “We Were Broncos” is the story about Ryan Straschnitzki who was seriously injured in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018.

Regina-based “Prairie Cat Productions” along with a film crew, followed Straschnitski for eight months.  Now the six-part series will air its first episode beginning May 26th.

The series follows his story and showcases many aspects of his life, such as after playing on Alberta’s Para Hockey team, Straschnitzki decided to make a shift and try to make the 2028 Paralympic basketball squad.

The athlete says he hopes viewers will be motivated after watching his story.
