During her arrest on Wednesday, a 22-year-old woman bit and spat on a Saskatoon Police officer.

At around noon, police were called to Midtown Plaza for a report of an assault. Officers learned that a woman had been paying for merchandise at a store in the mall when she was approached by another woman whom she did not know and was physically assaulted.

The suspect fled but was detained by mall security a short time later. Upon arrival at SPS Detention, she spit on and bit a Special Constable. They were not seriously injured.

The woman faces three charges.
