To close out Canada Road Safety Week which is May 13th-19th the Saskatoon Police Service will be hosting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The two-day initiative will take place at various locations in and around Saskatoon. Police will focus on impaired driving, distracted driving, seatbelt use, speeding, unlicensed driving/vehicle registration and vehicle equipment regulations.
STEP is a multi-agency task force and Saskatoon Police say that various law enforcement agencies will converge on the Saskatoon area to conduct sobriety checkpoints, vehicle inspections and other traffic safety initiatives.
