The Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit assisted in a drug bust on Saturday night.
At 11:00 p.m., police were dispatched to locate a suspicious vehicle reported to have been stolen. It was spotted in the 400 block of Avenue C North, and a traffic stop was initiated.
One passenger fled from the vehicle while the driver and another passenger were arrested. The passenger who fled the vehicle was spotted and tracked by the SPS Air Support Unit until Patrol Officers were able to locate and bring him into custody.
A search of the vehicle produced $23,135 cash, 129.79 grams of meth, numerous Codeine, Morphine, Hydromorphone pills or tablets, and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking such as scales and cellphones.
Now, a 73-year-old man, a 67-year-old woman, and a 48-year-old-man are all facing charges.
