Applications are now open for Upscale, program that aims to help businesses in Saskatoon and Regina drive growth and expand into new markets.
The program was a joint effort from the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority and Economic Development Regina. SREDA’s Manager of Business Development, Ashley Carter, says Saskatchewan has a very strong start-up assistance ecosystem, but there was a gap when it came to helping businesses scale.
Successful applicants will receive help to build a strategic growth plan, as well as access to industry experts and professional services.
“There is a small investment, it’s about $1250 to participate in the program, but companies will benefit tenfold from that with the subsidized access to professional services that we do plan to provide them.”
Applying businesses must have less than 150 employees and make between $1 million and $50 million in annual revenue. Upscale will work with six companies from both Saskatoon and Regina to achieve their growth goals.
Applications are open until June 6, and businesses can apply at upscalesk.ca.
