Loon Lake RCMP are trying to locate a woman who is potentially being held against her will.
The call about a 24-year-old female came in at 11:00 p.m. Thursday and the report indicated she was being held on Island Lake First Nation. The police investigation has led RCMP to believe she is with a man who is armed with a firearm. Originally RCMP had said they could be travelling in a black Dodge Caravan van with a deflated front tire. The Saskatchewan license plate is 580 LXY. Now RCMP say it appears the male may have access to a 2009 black Dodge Journey SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 412 NPF.
At this time, it is unconfirmed whether the male is travelling in the black Dodge Caravan or the 2009 black Dodge Journey. Saskatchewan RCMP continue to investigate and say they may be heading towards the Loon Lake area but their current whereabouts are unknown. RCMP are trying to locate the alleged victim to determine whether she is safe.
The male she is believed to be with is described as 24-years-old. He is approximately 5’7” tall and 215 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair.
RCMP say if you see the either vehicle or the man, do not approach as the man may be armed. The public is advised to call 310-RCMP, in an emergency call 911 and anonymously call Crime Stoppers.
Residents in the area will notice an increased police presence. There are officers from other Saskatchewan RCMP detachments, and the Saskatchewan RCMP Critical Incident Response Team assisting in the investigation.
