The disappearance of Kebo Bear is now being investigated as a homicide, and two people have been charged, so far.
Kebo was last seen walking on Pelican Lake First Nation on or around January 22nd, 2024. He indicated he was planning to travel to Porcupine Plain but did not show up as planned.
Theron Thomas, 35, and Ian Carter, 30 – both of Pelican Lake First Nation – have been charged with one count of manslaughter in connection to this case.
Carter made his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Wednesday. Thomas will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Thursday.
Kebo has not yet been located. The Saskatchewan RCMP is committed to finding him to provide his loved ones with closure.
