The Use of Force Review Board is investigating an officer involved shooting in Regina.
At 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a house in Regina. The Regina Police Service had received a report that two dogs were taken from another residence and were believed to be inside.
Police were speaking with a person outside the home, when two dogs ran out the front door towards one of the officers, who shot the dog.
Officers administered first aid on the scene and the dog was taken to the vet for further care. The incident remains under investigation.
All uses of force are also reported to the Saskatchewan Police Commission.
