Saskatoon Police have arrested a 39-year-old man after he drove into a school over the weekend.
Just after 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, patrol officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado truck in the area of Confederation Drive and Laurier Drive, but the truck refused to stop.
It eventually pulled over on 22nd Street near Witney Avenue, and officers found that the driver was not in possession of a valid driver’s license. He was also in breach of court-imposed conditions.
When he was told that he was under arrest, he started the vehicle and drove into W.P. Bate Elementary School in the 2500 block of 18th Street West.
He is charged with Dangerous Driving, Fail to Stop, Obstruction, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
