A 38-year-old man is facing a total of 25 charges after the Saskatoon Police Service responded to an unknown problem back on Saturday afternoon.
According to an S-P-S news release, at about 2:45 p.m. on May 10, patrol officers responded to the 300 block of 4th Avenue North and encountered a suspicious person upon arrival, who was believed to be in possession of weapons. Police detained the man and found him to be concealing two knives in his waistband. Upon further investigation, officers found an air gun revolver, ammunition, more knives, multiple cell phones, methamphetamine packaged for distribution, body armour, cash and identity documents belonging to other persons. A search warrant was then executed on his vehicle and, with the help of the Crime Reduction Team, a loaded sawed-off rifle, machete and hatchet were located.
