For those of you still grieving the loss of Peavy Mart on Saskatoon’s 51st Street, a new hardware store will soon be coming to fill its place.
Zak’s Group of Companies announced late last week that a Home Hardware Building Centre is making its way to that location.
Wyatt Zacharias, Chief Retail Officer, says “As sad as it is to see a heritage business like Peavey Mart close, we are honoured to carry forward a tradition of community support.”
The new Zak’s Home Hardware Building Centre will include a paint centre, houseware and gifts, yard and garden, tools and hardware, and lumber and building materials.
The business is expected to bring 30 additional jobs to the city and open in late 2025.
