An arrest for an assault against a taxi driver turned into a drug bust for the Saskatoon Police Service.
At 8:30 p.m. on Friday, patrol officers were in the area of Rusholme Road and Avenue X North when they saw two men known to have assaulted a taxi driver a few days earlier.
When approached by police, one man was taken into custody while the other fled. He was eventually taken into custody.
Officers found that both men were in possession of cocaine, and 680 grams were seized.
Two men, ages 22 and 23, face numerous charges.
