School Safety Patrols in Saskatchewan are being recognized and thanked for their valuable volunteer work and dedication in promoting school zone safety in Saskatchewan school zones. Minister of Education Everett Hindley proclaimed May as C-A-A School Safety Patrol Month in the province.
A C-A-A news release says they have sent out thank you certificates and prizes with each registered school receiving a small honorarium to celebrate their patrollers. There are about two thousand patrollers in around 100 schools from 43 communities in the province.
C-A-A Saskatchewan has owned and managed the C-A-A School Safety Patrol program since 951 and have provided training materials, patroller handbooks, stop paddles and reflective vests free of charge.
