Today is the kickoff of BYXE week in Saskatoon and for those just pulling their bike out of storage and need an adjustment, Jason Hanson, Operations Manager for Saskatoon Cycles, says one event is being offered to help with that.
“We’ll host our tune up tent on Sunday May 11th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. under the Sid Buckwold Bridge on the River Landing side of the river. So if people want a quick adjustment or tires filled up with air or a bit of a chain lube they can stop on by, it’s completely free of charge and we’d love to be able to help them have a smoother bike ride this summer. ”
Bike to Work Day is held this year on Thursday, May 15th. Participating businesses and organizations have sponsored Commuter Stations, serving snacks and refreshments for people on bikes during their morning and afternoon commutes. Morning stations run between 7 and 9 am and the after workstations will run at various times.
