Environment Canada is reporting four new weather records for May 4th. Coronach set a new record high when the mercury reached 30.5 degrees Celsius. The old record was 29.3 degrees set in 2016. Records have been kept since 1961.
The new record high for Hudson Bay is 32.1 degrees beating the previous record by one degree with temperature records there having been kept since 1943.
Rockglen set a new daytime high for May 4th at 27.6 degrees. The old record was 27.4 degres Celsius. Temperatures have been tracked in Rockglen since 1970.
And Weyburn set a new record temp on Sunday at 30.5 degrees. The previous record was 29.9 degrees with records kept for Weyburn since 1953. Weyburn, Rockglen and Hudson Bay all beat out temperature records from 2016.
