The Saskatchewan Huskies football program got an extra-large boost of financial help Thursday morning as the 23rd Dog’s Breakfast was held at Prairieland Park.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders Foundation presented the team with a cheque for $300,000, in addition to the $110,000 raised by the event – put on by the Huskie Football Foundation. The money goes towards scholarships for the U of S players plus other necessities for the program. The guest speaker was former N-F-L tight end, now T-S-N, N-F-L analyst Luke Willson while the 2025 recruiting class of 22 freshmen were introduced to the crowd of about two-thousand. The recruits join the vets on the Griffiths Stadium turf Thursday night as the annual Spring Camp weekend gets underway.
