‘Bright, beautiful, bold, and stunning’ are the words District Manager Paul Brown used to describe a completely revamped 8th Street Superstore in Saskatoon. Among the changes incorporated into the existing location was the addition of a Sweet Shop.
“So the next time you come in the store, and you go to that Kid Zone look to the left, the little pink area, that’s our new Sweet Shop, it’s fantastic. We completely expanded our pet department, we moved it out of where it was, we moved it onto the other side of the store. And we’re carrying so much more pet offerings. Think bulk pet food, think fresh pet food, think frozen pet food.”
The Kid Zone or toy department has been revamped as has the home decor area. There is now a Beauty Department completely separate from pharmacy that you notice as soon as you enter the store. They expanded their selection of Natural Value items and have a larger assortment of products from local vendors in Saskatchewan. Thursday kicked off with the SPCA on site, and a barbeque but Brown says the promotions continue all weekend.
He says customers can come into their stores and enjoy one stop shopping, not having to worry about buying online. Select Superstores in Canada are getting a makeover and in Saskatchewan there is only one Superstore undergoing the renovation. It’s Saskatoon’s 8th Street location.
