A 33-year-old man is in Regina Provincial Court today charged with First-Degree Murder in connection to an investigation from last Thursday in the Queen City.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, police and EMS were dispatched to a call for service in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue. Upon arrival, police located an injured adult male. He was declared deceased a short time later.

Police say the investigation determined the death to be a homicide and, as a result Keli Stonechild has been charged. The victim’s name is not being released at the request of his family. This is the city’s third homicide of 2025
