Walter Wiebe and his wife Peggy are the chairpersons of the Sask Valley Foodgrains charity. He went on a learning tour with a dozen others from across Canada.
Canadian farmers raise money by growing crops or holding fundraisers. The money is matched on a 4-to-1 basis by the federal government to assist farmers in developing nations improve their domestic food production.
Walter went on his first Foodgrains Bank learning tour in March and spent two weeks in Zimbabwe.
