One respiratory illness-related death was reported in Saskatchewan according to the province’s latest report.
The document states that one person died from influenza between March 23 and March 29th, down from four in the previous reporting period.
On the bright side, the number of COVID-19 positive tests decreased from 18 tests from last reporting period to 5 tests in the week ending April 5, most of which came from individuals 65 years and older.
RSV cases also decreased from 35 to 21.
Nationally, influenza cases are trending downward whereas COVID and RSV case levels remain stable at the lowest values ever recorded nationally.
