Jubilee Residences broke ground Monday on a new housing project.
Jubilee has been providing housing to seniors for 70 years and in a written statement says the need for seniors housing prompted the not-for-profit organization to construct a new 36-unit housing apartment project.
Jubilee Terrace will feature 20 affordable housing units and 16 market housing units. They will offer 2-bedroom, 1 bedroom as well as studio/bachelor suites and these housing units will accommodate those with disabilities as well as low-income seniors.
The housing project includes a secure bike space, paved parking and Crime-Free Multi Unit Housing provisions. The new Jubilee Terrace is located at 1705 31st Street West across from the Vic Rempel City yards.
