A 26-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery and disguise with intent following a late Saturday afternoon incident at a business in Prince Albert.
A Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) news release said officers responded to the business in the 400 block of 15th Street East at about 5:50 p.m. on March 29th because of an armed robbery report. Police learned upon arrival that two unknown males entered the business with one of the men allegedly brandishing a firearm and demanded money. The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was physically injured as a result of this incident. A little more than an hour later, officers on patrol near the South Hill Mall located a man matching the description of the suspect with the firearm. He was arrested without further incident and the firearm was located on his person and seized. Police were not able to locate the second suspect.
