The Saskatchewan Marshals Service has announced the first Regional Headquarters will be in the Battlefords.  In a news release Town of Battleford Mayor Ames Leslie says this is a positive step toward addressing habitual crime which accounts for a significant portion of service calls in the community.

The new regional HQ will open in the fall of 2025 and will house an Inspector and ten marshals as well as civilian staff as part of support operations.  Inspector Tim Garland has been named the Inspector in Charge of the Battlefords regional HQ.  Inspector Garland has 30 years of policing experience from his career in the Ontario Provincial Police.
