The Saskatchewan RCMP is advising who may be driving today (Thurs) to check the weather forecast and the road conditions along your route, with snow, blowing snow and in some cases freezing rain expected over much of southern Saskatchewan. The advice from the RCMP is to consider delaying travel if possible, and if you have to travel, stay on roads that have recently received some road maintenance. You can track which highways have been plowed, salted or sanded within the last two hours through the Highway Hotline. The Saskatchewan RCMP also reminds the public to avoid calling detachments of 911 for updates on road conditions.
