Bill Huber addressed reeves and councilors for the first time Tuesday afternoon as President of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM), after serving as acting president for several months following the retirement of Ray Orb.
He had this message for the new leadership in Ottawa.
The SARM president also mentioned the importance of ending the carbon tax, the need for more infrastructure dollars for roads and bridges and the declining state of rural health care.
One or more of those issues—along with trade wars with the United States and China—will likely be mentioned during the provincial cabinet bearpit session on Wednesday morning.
The SARM annual convention wraps up on Thursday.
