An active investigation continues with regards to an aggravated assault which occurred Wednesday night in Prince Albert.

A Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) news release says officers were called to the unit block of 11th Street West at around 7:50 p.m. on February 26 for an assault in progress. Before police arrived, they received word that there had been a previous physical altercation at a business in the 900 block of 1st Avenue West involving a weapon. Officers located a female with injuries consistent with an assault at the unit block on 11th Street West. She was transported by Parkland Ambulance to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. PAPS continues to investigate and ask that anyone with relevant information to call them or Crime Stoppers.
