A shortage of doctors means another extension of the reduced hours at the City Hospital emergency room.
On February 14th, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said the ER hours were be reduced from 9am-6pm ‘based on physician availability’. This afternoon (Friday), the SHA used the same wording in a news release that announced the reduced City Hospital ER hours will remain in effect until March 2nd. The City Hospital Emergency Room is usually open until 8:30pm. The public is being told to go to Royal University or St. Paul’s hospital in the event of an emergency.
