The woman that RCMP were looking for after a vehicle was stolen in a North Battleford armed robbery has been found. Police say 33-year-old Leanna Frenchman was found safe at a home on St. Laurent Drive. That’s where the stolen car was found this morning (Fri) around 10:30 – a red 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Saskatchewan RCMP continue to investigate. An earlier police report stated that the initial investigation determined the suspect and Frenchman didn’t know each other.
It was around 5 this morning when it was reported to police that a vehicle had been stolen by an armed man on Railway Avenue E in North Battleford. Two women were in the vehicle at the time, but one was able to get out with no physical injuries. The man is described as having a round-shaped face and was last seen wearing a baggy red sweater and jeans. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or submit an anonymous tip through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
