A vehicle fled from Tisdale RCMP late Tuesday afternoon, ending up at a dead-end grid road. Officers responded to an intoxicated river and noticed the vehicle leaving a parking lot. Police say that when they activated their emergency equipment for a traffic stop, the vehicle sped off. Officers followed the vehicle which took off out of town and turned down a dead-end grid road. The vehicle then slid into the ditch and got stuck in a field. A woman was arrested at the scene, but two men fled into a nearby treed area.
Searches were conducted by Tisdale and Melfort RCMP with help from the RCMP’s Police Dog Services, locating the two men later that day. One of the men was taken to hospital by EMS with weather-related injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.
