A 59-year-old man is facing various weapon and drug related charges after a search warrant was executed at a home northeast of Humboldt.
On Tuesday, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team, Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team, and the Humboldt Detachment located nearly two kilograms of illicit drugs and 35,000 illegal cigarettes at his home. Included in the seizure were 1,000 grams of methamphetamine, 801 grams of cocaine, four firearms, ammunition, bear spray, and additional drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Then, Prince Albert RCMP WEST officers located and arrested the homeowner, Gaetan Carrier, and a female passenger, during a traffic stop near the home.
While searching the vehicle, officers located and seized $42,245 in cash, a small amount of crack cocaine, and additional evidence of drug trafficking.
The investigation continues. Further charges are anticipated.
