The Saskatoon Police Service says their officers responded to a robbery in progress Monday at a restaurant in the 900 block of 22nd Street West.
The call came in shortly before 10:30 a.m. of two men armed with a knife robbing another man of cash. The suspects fled westbound on 22nd Street and were last seen travelling north on Avenue K North on foot.
A man matching one of the suspect descriptions was located a short while later in the 800 block of 20th Street West. He was found to be in possession of a knife, a handheld shovel, and methamphetamine.
A 37-year-old is charged with 2 counts Carrying Concealed Weapon, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Mischief, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
The 28-year-old victim was not physically injured. Saskatoon Police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information on this incident to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
