Highway Hotline is reporting that numerous Saskatchewan highways are not fit for travel this morning following last night’s blast of blowing and drifting snow.
The Hotline says travel is not recommended on Highway 44 from Alsask to Eatonia, continuing on to Leader, Burstall and Cabri. South of Preeceville on Highway 47 conditions are not suitable for travel, neither are highways 339 and 306 south of Regina.
Highway 1 between Regina and Moose Jaw is closed, and callers to the newsroom are reporting a closure at Kenaston. Traffic is reported to be backed up for several kilometres, and multiple semi trucks are pulled over on the side of the highway.
