On the heels of winning the Viterra Prairie Pinnacle Championship yesterday in Kindersley, Nancy Martin’s Nutana foursome has been seeded 12th and placed in Pool A for next month’s Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
The Martin quartet will open the 18-team Canadian women’s event in Thunder Bay against the hometown favourite and host Krista McCarville squad on Friday, February 14 at 6 o’clock, Saskatchewan Time. The Saskatchewan reps are also in the same round-robin pool as defending champion Rachel Homan’s Ottawa team, Selena Sturmay’s Edmonton foursome, Kayla Skrlik’s Alberta champs, Corryn Brown’s Kamloops, B-C, quartet, Melissa Adams’ New Brunswick squad, Jane DiCarlo’s Prince Edward Island team and the Nunavut champs skipped by Julia Weagle.
