The Moose Jaw Police Service says a 27-year-old man has succumbed to the injuries he suffered in a motel fire on Friday night. The call came in at 11:10 p.m. about a fire at Capone’s Hideaway Motel located at the bottom of Main Street in the southern Saskatchewan city.
The victim passed away Saturday after being taken to Regina hospital in critical condition, with serious fire-related injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the MJPS in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Office, Moose Jaw Fire Department (MJFD), and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA).
