Regina Fire & Protective Services said on X that there was a fatal house fire in the 1600 block of Benson Bay. The call came in at 8:02 a.m. Tuesday morning. Fire officials say crews entered the home when they arrived, and one person was removed from the house but declared deceased at the scene.

The house at 1622 Benson Bay was listed on MLS for sale at $689,900. The six-bedroom house of 2279 square feet had been listed for 58 days at the time of the fire.

The fire is under investigation.
