Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation has contributed $300,000 to the Operation Santa 2024 campaign. This year’s goal is to provide a holiday hamper to 750 families in the community. Operation Santa is a non-profit/referral-based hamper program established in 2015.

In a news release, Saskatoon Tribal Chief, Mark Arcand says food security is a critical health issue while Shirley Greyeyes, Director, Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation and Co-Chair of Operation Santa says the DDCDC addresses food insecurity and bridges the gaps on issues such as homelessness, technology access, mobility, childcare, literacy and transportation barriers.
