Esterhazy RCMP say a collision between a train and a tractor resulted in a derailment north of Gerald Saskatchewan.

RCMP issued an advisory around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday asking residents to avoid the area.

The collision resulted in the death of a man from the Esterhazy area who was driving the tractor. While several cards derailed there were no spills report to RCMP except for dried/material goods.

Range Road 1322 was expected to be closed this morning for an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist to investigate.
