The North Battleford Fire Department responded to a commercial property fire last night (Mon) around 10 o’clock on the Highway 16 Bypass. The City of North Battleford’s Facebook page says the fire also caused a power outage when a main transmission line pole was engulfed in fire.
Fire departments from the RM of North Battleford and the Town of Battleford also responded to the blaze, along with RCMP, Community Services Officers, ambulance personnel and local heavy equipment operators. The structure is severely damaged and considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown. No one was hurt in the fire which social media posts identify as a hotel that caught fire.
