The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1300 block of Avenue F North shortly before 11:30 p.m. last night.

Firefighters could see smoke showing from a heavy chimney stack and the basement windows.  They started to attack the fire from inside but had to retreat and exit the basement due to the high heat and unsafe conditions.

The fire has been completely extinguished and a search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated, as well, no one was injured.  A fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and damage estimate.
