Several cities in Saskatchewan—including Saskatoon, North Battleford and Regina—had the third warmest September on record.
Environment and Climate Change Canada reports the average mean temperature was 4.2 degrees above normal in Saskatoon with nearly every day warmer than the long-term average.
Saskatoon had 35.3 millimetres of rain last month, which was even with the long-term average. Some centres, such as North Battleford, were on the other edge of the spectrum. A weather system on the 17th and 18th dropped enough rain to make it the third wettest September in 82 years at North Battleford.
