Around 9 Tuesday morning, Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report about an assault at a home on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation. Police and EMS responded and found an injured man outside the home. He was transported to hospital by ambulance with injuries described as serious.

Loon Lake RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone in the area who may have noticed suspicious activity near the First Nation between Monday evening and Tuesday morning to contact them. You can also submit a tip anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
