There’s an excess of goaltenders with the Saskatoon Blades as 18-year-old Evan Gardner (pictured) returns to the city and the Bridge City Bunch after being reassigned Tuesday by Columbus.
Gardner joins 20-year-old Austin Elliott and 16-year-old Ryley Budd while 19-year-old Logan Cunningham has been sidelined the last couple of weeks with a Lower Body injury. Otherwise, defenceman Tanner Molendyk remains at Nashville’s camp and left winger Brandon Lisowsky is believed to still be with Toronto. The Blue and Gold re-assigned this season’s first goal-scorer, winger Kohen Lodge, to his Under-18 AAA team in Red Deer Monday, leaving the Blades with 25 players ahead of hosting Brandon on Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
