The Court of King’s Bench in Prince Albert will get a second Deputy Sheriff.

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General.

The Sheriff’s Office conducts civil enforcement duties, including serving eviction notices, as quickly and effectively as possible.

The government says it has heard concerns raised by community partners like the Prince Albert Community Housing Society Inc.

In a news release the government says it will begin the hiring process immediately and intends to fill the position before the end of this year.
