A 22-year-old woman from Grand Prairie has been reported dead as a result of the serious collision that happened east of Wapella on Wednesday.
At 9:30 p.m., Moosomin RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway #1. Officers say a semi and truck collided, and the passenger in the truck was declared dead by EMS at the scene.
The driver of the truck and the semi driver came away without serious injuries.
Now, 21-year-old Zachory Taylor from Codette, the man operating the semi, is being charged with operating a vehicle while impaired causing death, and he was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Nipawin RCMP and Weyburn Police Service.
The investigation continues.
