The Prince Albert Police Service Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan has added a new police motorcycle to its fleet.
It was made possible through a partnership with SGI.
Data from CTSS shows that between 15 to 20 per cent of tickets issued annually by RCMP CTSS in Saskatchewan are attributed to the RCMP’s six-motorcycle squad. Notably, approximately 28% of these tickets are for the use of cellular phones while driving.
For the most part remain tickets usually address non use of seat belts and speeding. and to further community engagement the new motorcycle will also be utilized during school demonstrations and bike rodeos. You can see a photo of the new motorcycle in our online story.
