The City of Saskatoon says Saskatoon Light and Power does not send out messages demanding you pay for a delinquent account or risk having your power cut off. As well robocalls, texts or emails are never sent from the City of Saskatoon or Saskatoon Light & Power.

In addition the City never requests or collects credit card or bank account information from customers via phone, text or email. The City typically uses application forms to collect banking information. Never give out personal or banking information or credit card number and don’t click on suspicious web links.

A number of concerned business owners have contacted the City about a scam where the phone calls seem to be coming from the resident’s utility company.
