There has been a death at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre in the Men’s Reintegration Unit.

The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety say the inmate was found unresponsive in the washroom Saturday night.

Corrrections staff administered life saving measures and called EMS. EMS declared the inmate deceased at 11:07 p.m.

No foul play is suspected at this time. Saskatoon Police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified and are investigating.

The Ministry is also conducting an internal investigation.
