Construction of a new La Ronge Long-Term Care facility is now about 30 per cent done, according to a news release from the province.
Piers to support the foundation are in place, the steel structure is going up and the concrete elevator shaft walls have been built.
The new three-story building will have two wings per floor and 80 beds, which is an increase of 64 from the current space in the local health centre.
Each room has a bathroom, and the Long-Term Care home will also have a traditional healing space and serenity room.
Construction began in July last year and is expected to be mostly complete by early 2027.
The home will be owned and operated by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
